Sail-inspired design for this cuff bracelet, which reinterprets the spirit of sailor’s knots in a free and modern style. A jewel with a bold personality.
This piece consists of two main elements: a powerful, organic shape crafted from upcycled carbon, repurposed from boat construction scraps, and a section made of precious metal inspired by the sailor’s knot known as the "two half hitches" or "double half hitch."
The cuff asserts its duality through the contrast between the dense, magnetic black of the carbon and the brilliance of yellow gold. The V-shaped engravings on the metal evoke the texture of the halyard, the ropes used to hoist sails, without being overly literal in their inspiration. The interplay of the two materials is expressed in organic undulations, creating a functional cuff bracelet designed to be worn on the wrist. When placed on a console table or in front of a mirror, the jewel transforms into a mysterious object.
